It combines a wealth of technology with tried and true components. Built with an aluminum spool and frame with a graphite sideplate and rotor. Paladin Gear Durability Enhancement uses a cold-forged aluminum drive gear and special hardened brass pinion gear thats more durable and smoother than all-stainless steel drivetrains. The five-part Propulsion Line Management System provides longer, more accurate casts with less effort. The Aerowrap II Oscillation worm gear system reduces friction and increases efficiency. Shielded Anti-Rust Bearings. Machined-aluminum handle with Septon handle grips. Waterproof drag. Maintenance port. Spare aluminum spool included. These updated rods are built on our legendary XML 64 million-modulus, spiral-core-technology graphite blanks. They feature lightweight, super-durable SS316 stainless steel Alps guides, double coated with black chrome for maximum corrosion resistance. Precise guide spacing compacts the distance between guides from the middle to the tip of the rod. This increases sensitivity and decreases line drag. Rods have palm-swell American Tackle Aero reel seats. Grips are made of premium cork and have thread-covering down-locking fore grips.
